Jonathan and I just got a new camera. We wanted to try it out, and we also heard that Amicalola Falls in North Georgia is beautiful, so we made the hour and a half drive up to the head of the Appalachian trail and checked it out. We couldn't resist bringing Ali.
For the first time ever, he actually enjoyed sticking his head out the window.
We went the long way since I had to visit a client at work first. It was great because we had an amazing "Georgia country" experience. The most surprising thing I saw was a license plate with a confederate flag background and "JESUS" written across it.
The park was beautiful and not very crowded.
This picture is my favorite!
Jonathan tried out the panoramic software for this pic.
When we were done with the hike, Ali decided to cool off by laying down in the creek. And he curled up and slept the whole way home.
We decided to have another southern experience by stopping at "Dogs and Hogs BBQ" in Cumming, GA.
We got combo meals complete with BBQ, potato salad, banana pudding, and sweet tea.
We had a blast exploring the area. Too bad we didn't take advantage of the Appalachian mountains sooner!
